Our history
Ours is a family business, with longstanding origins. Pelligra Giovanni was the first to take up vine-growing several years ago, but it was Biagio Zago's initiative that turned Mosaico into a fully-fledged company and wine cellar.
In 1994, Biagio took over the old winery in Contrada Mortilla, in the Ragusa countryside, which has always been famous for its full-bodied red wine.
Since then, we have been passionately cultivating Nero d'Avola and Inzolia espalier vines - true varietals of excellence from our land and famous throughout the world.
Today, our wine cellar is an important reference point for private individuals, large-scale distribution, restaurants, catering services and hotels, supplying wine both in bulk and by the bottle.
